UBER / LYFT / RIDESHARE ACCIDENTS

UBER / LYFT / RIDESHARE ACCIDENTS

If you were a passenger and injured during a rideshare ride (e.g. Uber, Lyft, etc.) you are entitled to compensation whether or not your driver was at fault.

Your financial compensation will be based on the injury you sustained, the force of impact to the vehicle(s), your medical bills, out of pocket costs,  time off of work, future medical care, future employment impact, property damage and pain and suffering. If you are married, you can also be entitled to compensation for your loss of consortium.

If you are injured in an Uber, Lyft or other rideshare accident, make sure to do the following:

  1. Call 911. Let police know that you are injured so that they come to make a police report. If injuries are not severe enough for police to come, it will still be good to have a record of calling the police.
  2. Take pictures of the scene, any visible property damage and/or physical injuries;
  3. Do not give any statements to anyone (other than a police officer performing an investigation) until you speak to a lawyer.
  4. Seek medical attention immediately.
